In spite of all the bad news, Lord,
your beauty always blossoms,
your design endures our failures
your purpose will never be denied…

Plumeria whispered my name today:
her plain, silken beauty caught my eye;
her simple glory gladdened my heart,
she anointed my soul with joy…
She survives on your grace,
nothing more, nothing less:
seeking only to do what you ask of her,
she mirrors your beauty divine…
She has no mind, no choices to make,
no options for weal or for woe;
she lacks free will, ever ours to use,
to prefer and choose
what’s holy, true and just…
So help us, Lord, at home and abroad,
to seek and do what you ask of us:
to embody, echo, reflect and reveal
the image of beauty
in which we’re made…
In spite of all the bad news, Lord,

may beauty always blossom,
your design endure our failures,

and your purpose always triumph

to shine within our hearts
and make us whole…
Protect us, Lord, while we’re awake
    and watch over us while we sleep
that awake, we might keep watch with you
    and asleep, rest in your peace…

Tonight’s song is a simple mantra:
    may it thrive in your heart and blossom in your prayer…

Let your beauty shine in me, Lord,
shine in my heart, my mind, my soul
Let your beauty shine in me, Lord,
shine and make me whole…
