I bend under pressure
and trip over my own mistakes…
I lose my balance
– fall flat on my face…
And sometimes I’m a stumbling block for others,
And still, you never fail to help me,
reaching out to lift me up,
to dust me off, reboot my day
and help me on my way…
So, when I’m hard pressed, Lord,
and get in my own way…
When I’m not steady on my feet
and can’t seem to keep my balance…
When I’m stuck in a rut or hit a pothole
Then remind me that you’re there, Lord,
make strong and sure and firm my steps
or catch me as I fall;
and never let my foot
Nothing gonna stumble stumble my feet
Trying to abide in the straight and narrow way
Nothing gonna stumble stumble my feet
But when my time on earth is done
And I hear my name ( my name)
And I hear my name ( my name)
Oh when my time on earth is done
These weary feet are gonna run
(not gonna stumble , o I’m not gonna slip)
No I’m not gonna stumble no I’m not gonna slip
No nothing gonna stumble stumble my feet
When I go to walk that golden street
Now the devil is a liar, and a cheater too
Nothing gonna stumble stumble my feet
(nothing gonna stumble , my feet)
And if he gets his way, he’ll make a slider out of you
Nothing gonna stumble stumble my feet
(nothing gonna stumble , my feet)
But if you listen for the spirit’s voice
In a moment of truth (of truth) , moment of truth ( of truth)
Oh if you listen for the spirits voice
He’ll help you make the right choice
Sway or fall
Not gonna stumble or slide (slide)
Not gonna waver (waver) falter (falter)
Sway or fall
Not gonna stumble at all
Not gonna stammer not gonna slip
(That golden street)
No I’m gonna stumble not gonna trip
(That golden street)
Not gonna stammer not gonna slip
(That golden street)
Not gonna stumble not gonna trip
(That golden street)
When I go to walk that golden street
