Good morning, good God!
Today, Lord, I offer you:
the hurt in my heart
in need of your healing…
the confusion in my mind
in need of your counsel…
the thoughts in my imagination
in need of your cleansing…
the sin in my soul
in need of your mercy…
the duplicity in my dealings
in need of your justice…
the stubbornness in my will
in need of a docile spirit…
the foolishness in my words and deeds
in need of your wisdom…
the lies in my speech
in need of your truth…
the selfishness in my greed
in need of letting go…
the pride in my bravado
in need of your humility…
the anger I hold on to
in need of your pardon...
the emptiness within me
in need of your presence…
the sorrow in my sadness
in need of your consolation…
in need of your consolation…
the gaps in my hope
in need of deeper trust…
I offer the parts of my life, Lord
where I’m most in need of your grace
to heal and forgive my brokenness
and make me whole once again…
Accept my simple offering, Lord,
this morning, all day long
and through the week ahead..
