two eyes,
a mouth
and a nose:
in these we’re all alike, Lord,
so very much alike…
So, help me see
behind these features
deeper, into others’ souls
whose infinite variety
offers me a glimpse
of all the beauty that is you
in all of them
and in myself:
in every one uniquely
and in all of us
the same…
a mouth
and a nose:
in these we’re all alike, Lord,
so very much alike…
So, help me see
behind these features
deeper, into others’ souls
whose infinite variety
offers me a glimpse
of all the beauty that is you
in all of them
and in myself:
in every one uniquely
and in all of us
the same…
Amen.
