UPDATE on Pocket Crosses

UPDATE on Pocket Crosses

In the post below I mentioned that you should put $1.26 postage on your stamped, self-addressed return envelope. An informed reader just wrote to tell me that in January 2024, first class postage went from $.60 to $.68! I will check on Thursday to see how this impacts the amount of postage you need this year to receive a pocket cross.  Stay tuned!
Ash Wednesday is February 14 – just two weeks away!
As I have in the past, I’m offering you a pocket Cross: a simple, personal, daily reminder of the Lenten season and your own plans for living that season. The inscription for this year’s pocket Cross:
that only You
can give…
If you would like a pocket Cross, please send me a STAMPED self-addressed envelope. Unfortunately,  because these envelopes contain an object, the USPS considers them as a « package, » requiring extra postage. To ensure receiving your Cross, use $1.26 in postage. I regret that the price is so high (more than twice the cost of the Cross!) – but I don’t set the rates.
Some folks request more than one Cross and in the past I have been able to fulfill those requests – and I will try my best to do so again.  However… if you request more than one Cross, you’ll need to increase the postage on your envelope – individual return envelopes is probably the best way to to this. Please send your stamped, self-addressed envelope to:
Fr. Austin Fleming
124 Cochituate Road
Wayland, MA 01778
There is NO CHARGE for these Crosses! Please do NOT send cash or checks! If you’re moved to be generous – consider making a donation to your favorite charity – or mine: Health Equity International.  Just please do NOT send any cash or checks to me!
